Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1 1926 -August 5, 1962 was winning American actress, model. and pop icon. Her death has been subject to speculation and conspiracy theories. Over 50 years after her death, she is still an object of fascination - Perhaps gentlemen do prefer blondes.

Vampirism is the practice of drinking blood from a person or animal. In folklore and popular culture, the term refers to a belief that one can gain supernatural powers by drinking human blood.
This illustration was a practice in creating something a little darker. By mixing a potentially dark subject matter with bright "fun" colors, I was interested in the results. I think it turned out nice - Let me know what you think.

Nefertiti (the beauty that has come) was the chief consort/wife of the Egyptian Pharaoh Amenhotep IV (later Akhenaten). She was the mother-in-law and stepmother of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun(King Tut). Nefertiti, after Cleopatra is the second most famous "Queen" of Egypt in the Western imagination and has influenced the changed standards of feminine beauty of the 20th century.

Giclee Prints

Giclee (zhee-klay) - The French word "giclée" is a feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper.


The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than many other means of reproduction. Giclee prints are created typically using professional 8-Color to 12-Color ink-jet printers. Among the manufacturers of these printers are vanguards such as Epson, MacDermid Colorspan, & Hewlett-Packard. The quality of the giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.

Watercolor

Watercolor designates either a painting method, the medium, or the resulting artwork, where paints made of pigments suspended or dissolved in water are used.
My first online painting shall be a watercolor. I want to experiment more with "wet into wet" because I have a habit of relying on dry brush. Not necessarily a bad thing just trying to broaden my horizons. One of the many reasons I enjoy watercolor paints is that it's very versatile and forgiving.

On this Blog, you will find art work and products that are newly available. This has been a passion of mine for a while now.
